Smile Not getting 2MBPS Speed

I've come to know that MTNL Triband speeds have increased from 256 kbps to 2Mbps. I have DLINK 502-T Router. I get maximum speeds of 25 kbps. Will my speed be increased or is there a way to do so.??

i think first you should see that are you getting the 2 mbps speed and if not then i think it would be good to call MTNL and then tell them to fix the problem.

I would say it would be nice to check you plans and if your plans offers the 2 mbps line then you should report this problem to MTNL.

If the speed of your plan increases then you would see a increase in your connection speed very soon and if not then i think you would need to change your plan.

The problem might be with the server whic you are downloading from.. If you get good speeds using a download manager then there is nothing wrong with your connection.

Over all speed also depends on the upload speed of the server you download from and how many users are downloading from that server at that time also dictates the speed you would get.

Try downloading from rapid share and see what speed you get as their servers have pretty good upload speed.
