I have similar problem with the same router. Only difference is that I'm using this with iPad and iPaod touch. Even my friend when visited us with a galaxy tab.... He faced the same issue.

Tried all solution given in mac forum... Very little success. I will keep posted different sol that I tried before.

Let me know if u have any success.

I'm not sure abt the solution, bt what I did... I connected another router (I had a spare one) and connect wifi devices to the new router. I'm happy now. I know it's unnecessary double electricity, bt I don't have any choice as well as I don't have time to look for many solutions.

Also, I'm planning to move away from MTNL to spectranet or vovinet. They will have their own wifi router, so that will solve the issue as well.

Guys, did you check the configuration of the wifi router itself? If another router is working, there is no point in fiddling with your phone / handheld device. Culprit is the router. Check if there is any idle setting in the router itself.
