Uploaded.to blocked

Mtnl's latest addition to blocklist is uploaded.to. The following message appears when I try to access the site

"This site has been blocked as per the instructions of Competent Authority"

Which other sites are unreachable?

There are lots of others that are blocked. Atleast a dozen of them.

Yes but many of them were later unblocked like TPB's imgbay for instance. So I wonder which sites is mtnl blocking now?

Reliance is blocking more content than any other ISP. Even that which they weren't told to.

I just noticed that ripoffreport.com comes with a message saying "Access to website blocked"

I wonder if its the site owners themselves who dont want traffic from India or the ISP. I am getting the same message using Mtnl and Airtel. I can access the site fine with pagewash.com.

Checking with two ISPs is the ultimate test. But if they both are blocking the site then its useless. There are many many sites that allow traffic only from particular countries; mostly for ad reasons. If they are huge sites you may find by searching, which countries they allow or block. If there were sites like pagewash sponsored by ISPs from India, it would be much easier to find. By the way I have noticed that the links that are unblocked, still don't open if you do not delete the cookies and history.

Government of India needs to understand that blocking a website does nothing to stop those who want to access it. It is just more work going through a proxy and having to wait longer. It is the government of India who is making people spend time doing unproductive work going through proxies and what not.

I wonder why they even blocked a site like ripoffreport?
