    Default MTNL Broadband disconnects frequently

    I have the unlimited combo offer pack , 999. I have never had a problem in the past 2 years , but in the past month , my internet connection gets disconnected frequently , I mean literally like 5 times in 10 minutes. And I am pretty sure there's no problem in my router , as I have just bought a new one. Is this the ISP's fault? Or some wire/cable fault at my house? I am really confused and its too frustrating!

    disconnections mostly occur due to the line fault. have u checkd wether your telephone is working properly or it has some disturbance. if it has a disturbance make an online complaint on MTNL complaint portal regarding tdlephone disturbance under telephone complaints and then your net would work without DC.

    MTNL and BSNL are two service providers where you will find a lot of disconnection issues, and the reason for this from past experience is due to bad line quality and the actual layout of the wiring.

    I have made several complaints , online and on 1504 number, but MTNL's service is just pathetic. They always say they'll send someone , but they never do.

    in which area do you live??
    at my place whenever i make a complaint online or on 1504 the guy comez the same day or the nxt day.. what type of complaint havd you made ? telephone line or internet?

    I live in west Delhi. Here the service is very poor. When I register a complain , they do call , and they say they will send someone , no one has ever come.

    MTNL customer service is pathetic, you need to call them around 6-7 times before someone comes to see the problem. Just use the automated service to make the complaints.

    instead of making broadband complaint make a telephone line complaint and everything will be fine. cos disconnects occur mostly due to line fault. eg: disturbance in telephone etc.

    I made a phone line complaint too. They came , they checked and said the phone line is fine. yesterday when I talked to their customer executive , he said there is a strike of MTNL workers in my region. Today they said the servers are down. The connection gets disconnected every 2-3 minutes. They don't care, I think.

    I got my MTNL adsl connection disconnected after it was down for a few weeks and no one bothered to fix it after a number of complaints. I am using their 3g now which works fine and at Rs1650 per month for unlimited data it is not bad atall.

    Check if your DSL lamp is constant if not, it most probably the line fault. Was there any change in your internal or external telephone cables recently? Or did you do any change in electrical wiring in your house? It may be a possibility that it is producing electrical noise interference. If there are no changes and still there is this line issue with no support from MTNL, its time to move on with some other provider. Preferrably a cable BB service provider.
