Default MTNL Plans are so ridiculous

MTNL and BSNL are both siblings of the same (draconian) government department - Department of Telecom. All their services are same. Yet when it comes to BB, their plans and tariffs are so different. BSNL has one of the most reasonable plans but MTNL plans are ... most unattractive, if not repulsive.

For example, there is no truly unlimited plan from MTNL that is affordable.

Agree... strongly! All I really need is an unlimited 256 kbps connection - and they have none.

I really don't know what are your sources. But I tend to disagree. Here is a 256kbps Unlimited Plan for Rs. 799 in Delhi.
