    Angry mtnl speed reduced

    mtnl has reduced its speed from 2mbps to pathetic 150kbps all of you who are using unlimited 256. please check your speed at Intel® Broadband Speed Test - Test Your Internet Connection and dont get fooled anymore!!!!!!!!

    I hope u know the difference between Kbps and KBps??? 2Mbps means 2Megabits per sec (not 2 Megabytes per sec) If you divide 2 Mbps by 8 u'l get 256 KBps(Kilobytes per sec) this is the actual speed. If you are getting 150 KBps speed then its ok.. this much fluctuation can happen, as we are in the gr8 India... if you're getting 150Kbps then its really disgusting.

    buddy i have tested my net connection on this site some days back it showed me 2 mbps recently in the same site and other site it showed 50kbps

    That's the way these government isp's function, they do everything on their own without even informing the customers about it and this is not happening for the first time. But your reasoning for reduced speed could also be due to the fact that you saw this slow speed when tested. Do remember that it is not always you will get 2 mbps it is clearly mentioned that up to 2 mbps.
