Thread: is there any setting to shutdown modem

Is there any setting to shutdown (at custom timings) my mtnl router huwaei smartax mt882. I am using night unlimited plan. So far experiencing alot problems as i unable to wake myself up (blame it to human nature) at the precise closing time of modem in order to avoid charging in daytime. I already this month doubly overcharged my limits, this costed me in excess 1,000 bucks. I spoken to customer care they also clueless even directing to switch to other plans. I also tried on own to tweak settings but unable to find any shutdown option or even restart at custom timings. Do anybody know how to do this after logging in 192.168.1.1 router admin. I even tried shutdowning my system at 7.30 am but even that unables to shutdown system (it eventually shut at 10.00 am instead.vista autoshutdown gadget) by then downloader ripped me. Other servicebased shutdowners once crashed my device drivers leading to system crash, so cant really trust. Any solution will be very helpful to me or finally have to switch over to other plans.

This is a standard problem which all NU plan users face.
Expect MTNL to provide such clunky plans.

I still haven't been able to find anything.
