Thread: Setup Laptop and Desktop to the same MTNL BroadBand connection

I bought my first Laptop yesterday. It's Compaq Presario C772TU Notebook PC, I am excited and can't wait to setup a Wireless Wi-Fi network in my home.

I have the following.
1. 1 PC
2. 1 Laptop
3. D-Link ADSL Router
4. I will buy Wi-Fi Router or Wi-Fi Modem

Goal

- To connect PC to MTNL Broadband using LAN
- To connect Laptop to MTNL Broadband using Wi-Fi
- Connect both Laptop and PC for file sharing

What is Required?
- Do I need to buy WiFi Modem or WiFi Router to achieve my Goal?

You need to buy a wi-fi router. I recommend Linksys or Netgear models. They are well known and plenty of help will be available from forums such as this.
