Thread: 3K internet bill !!! Help !!!

Hi i live @ dadar ....

and i download lotta stuff every night

i have a 849NU plan

so i download few stuff every night / morning if i wake up early

i am using MTNL since it started !! & 590NU since it launched but never had such a issue !!!

i got a usage charge of Rs 2,063/- ??????????? on my MTNL bill !

i went to my usage summary of that month .... and found i was charged for the

night browsing 2 !!

here are some of those log where i was charged @ night:

You need to visit your exchange and get clarification. That is the only way BSNL/MTNL works.

Does MTNL have night free browsing?

Did you did connect the modem before and after the free period
if not this is the way the bill will come

yepp i switch off & on the router @ 12:10 AM & 7:50 AM !!!

i live in dadar too, and i use 399 plan which offers 700 MB. last time i got a bill of 933(just the internet bill).
I tried to look for unlimited plans but it is so lame, we have to pay 20,000 rupees. it is most expensive isp who offers unlimited access.
I am not shifting to otehr isp cuz mtnl gives a good speed which gives me less lag in playing multiplayer games. I hope mtnl comes up with unlimited plans which is less expensive.

check ur download volumes at mtnl office

if u cant switch off ur moden befor time

the all downloading volume(tha all surfing and downloading) will charges as per actual useage in day



so if unable to getup in morning
it is better to switch to unlimited plan

you have to switch it on and off accordingly
otherwise u get charged.
And 3k is nothing dude..
if this u would have tried on airtel ull be paying more than 15K, happed with me thrice!!!!!
eventually had to settle them for 8K out of 38K for three months..real nasty greedy they r!!!!
and still they r willing to put the connection again,...
U can guess why,
goto the mtnl sanchar haat and fix it up....am sure ull find a way to settle it

one question, the timings that u gave which u got from ur isp, is it same as u used , have u sync ur pc time with ur isp?

if the details are correct then ,
u cant do any thin
