Hello guyz ,

last year i was using MTNL broadband Connection ..Due to some Bill payment , they disconnected my phone and broadband ..the bill was approz Rs 6000 approx . I paid all the sum on 2 march , 08 and re-applied for MTNL broadband connection without modem ... I hav previous Modem , handset with me .

Today is 13 may ,08 ... there is no response from them . I called Customer Care ,they said you have not applied for Broadband ... I also contact the MTNL local Exchange . They said Ports are not available ..and said " We can't say how much time it would take , it can take 3 months, 6 months or 9 months " I was shocked to hear this . I never seen this type of services from any Internet connection provider !

Wat should i do ??

I agree that MTNL/BSNL are yet to wake up to reality (although BSNL is improving in cities). I would suggest to go to Airtel but don't be surprised if you face similar issues.

Also I would suggest that you opt for an unlimited plan for purpose of safety. You will get lesser bandwidth but will have peace of mind because of unlimited usage.

Actually first i was gng to Airtel but my bad luck ...Airtel is not available in my area !

And for MTNL , i hav applied for Unlimited plan which cost around 899 .

Just give me ur location

MTNL is calling back their old coustmer with some discount also

yet with huge interest in mtnl as their servie is fast and good(except some cases and rumers) in some areas booking is slow or closed for 2-3 months

Broadband re-connection charges after surrender: To welcome back old subscribers, subscriber who surrendered his broadband connection and wants it back (on the same telephone), the Registration charges (Rs 500) & the CPE security charges (see 2 above) will not be charged. Only Rs 300 for CPE testing will be charged
