Thread: not able to access some sites....

I have been using MTNL B/B since 31st May. Last week the connection went kaput as MTNL servers were not reachable(My experience on that count is worth a separate story which I will post sometime during the week).
Now while the connection is back I find that I can't open some sites like samachar.com and webmail.vsnl.com. My router settings are in the same status as were before the MTNL server issue.
Has anyone else faced this kind of problem? Is there a solution? I have tried it on firefox as well as on IE.

I did an experiment. Disconnected MTNL B/B and connected to internet thru my Airtel Datacard and could access samachar.com as well as webmail.vsnl.com from the same laptop. Can anyone please tell me as to what could have gone wrong or give me a clue to solve this problem......

It seems that problem is with MTNL DNS. I changed my connection DNS values to open DNS settings (instead of MTNL DNS) and everything started working fine including the sites which were not getting connected viz samachar.com / webmail.vsnl.com.
I have informed MTNL of this but they are either too slow to react/take action or downright incompetent/ could n't care less if customers suffer...
