Unhappy need torrenting help for dummies

    hi everybody

I just took a new MTNL broadband 2mbps NU connection, before that i was surviving on dial up connection . I took it for heavy downloading of movies and other stuff via torrent. Before saying anything else i would like to clear i m noob at torrenting. My problem is when i download some stuff via direct download i get very good about 220+ speed but when i download stuff via torrent i struck at 30-50 kbps as i see ppl here on this forum getting 150+ kbps easily via torrents. So guyz tell me what's wrong with me as i m using utorrent client and my modem(GLB-502T) is on pope mode.

    waiting for reply

    thanks

What sort of help do you require with torrents?

Most of it is self explanatory.

    a) Download a bit torrent client. UTorrent is the best as it is very light weight and does not consume much resources.
    b) Just make sure that you have forwarded the ports correctly.

Point (b) is your problem on why you are getting low speeds.
