Check the SNR values. Values below 10 db will result in frequent disconnections.
I also suffer from the same.

Do you have parallel connections at your home? Have you installed a splitter that separates voice and data? The splitter must be the first device connected to the external line. The ADSL output of the splitter must go directly to the modem and all the phone lines (parallel or not) must use the 'voice' output of the splitter. No parallel phone connections before the splitter.
Having taken care of the above, if you still face problems, you need to make a written complaint in the exchange and request for a line check.
As you know that the (telephone) wire that run into the home comes from the nearest junction box. These connections are seldom properly done up - mostly many loose wires just twisted. Sometimes these wires also get old and need replacement. The BSNL technician should inspect these wires, check connections and take appropriate corrective action.
