Thread: plz help me about 749 night unlimited connection urgently

hi everybody

I am using a 749 night unlimited connection for last 1 month but hav not get the bill yet. My problem is about the free night usage. I always start my computer after 12 o clock at night and turn off my computer before 8:00 but do not switch off my modem ( i mean at that the modem has power). So plz tell me my usage will be counted under night unlimited or not.

Its really very urgent hmy: :sad: :crying:

vabhu Night unlimited starts from 2AM till 8AM

If you connect at 12AM all nights downloads will be counted as chargable regardless of the amount you downloaded after 2am ...

I suggest you stop doing that and start your downloads at something like 2:15AM and stop at 7:45 to keep it safe.

I f youve been downloading a lot then I guess your bills are not gonna be something you would like to see..

Go down to the local office and see whats up with your bill.

In my opinion its best to get an unlimited connection be it any isp and whatever your usage be.

Modem need to be reset or rebooted or switched off/on at 12 AM and once again at 8 AM in MTNL's 749NU plan - any one of the three actions is OK; it does not have to be switched off.

If you have followed the above precaution, you are safe. In BSNL plans the same has to be done at 2 AM and 8 AM. Read the "Broadband How to" section on a guide on this.

@admin, 749NU is MTNL's plan - the NU time 12 AM to 8 AM. But I believe that the plan is now withdrawn wef 1-Sep-08.

Forgot to add: In my opinion all your usage will be chargable as per Mtnl's terms and conditions.

I thought that the MTNL unlimited started at 2am, its something you should check out, otherwise you will get a big long bill!

No. That is perfectly OK. You can get post queries and get opinions from as many people and forums as you want.

What one should not do, is, to plagarize the content, post links across, etc. But one can quote contents from other forum but should always mention the source.

In my opinion Vabhu, as correctly advised earlier too, you need to disconnect modem/adsl router (switch on/off) to relogin, every time you start a new start session time is registered at MTNL server and remains on till it is disconnected. It has got nothing to do with your use of computer, that will be only accounting for actual usage.
Hence always switch on/off your adsl router.
In addition always keep a tab on your usage (and usage pattern) on MTNL at register.mtnl.net.in login with your user id and password. and go to "view session history", this will always give you a clear idea.
