Thread: Unable to get MTNL Broadband

I applied for MTNL Braodband connection on 23 June this year and till date has not been able to get the connection done despite repeated follow ups

In early July MTNL said that the same would be done by July end

In early Aug, after I had put in serious hatred mails for all senior officials of MTNL (GM Janakpuri, AM's), they called me up and said that they have an infrastructure issue ..and till that date they were able to clear applications till 7 June only. They confirmed that connection would be done by Aug End.

Now in sept, I am still following it up to get it installed so that I can be out of Sify wiretrap.

Indeed I did it Dude before I came here....

But even if your complaints are not heard by senior officials, shouldn't there be a forum where I can lodge my complaint against some officials in particular and MTNL in general..there should be an independent body...and if you all refer to consumer courts...no doubt they are good...but who the hell has time to leave office and get into this...at the end of day... either you follow with MTNL or Consumer Court...it is we the customer who are still dealing with the problem

hey ....that's vry strange .....i m also new to mtnl.....they gave me the connection within 7 days without ny follow ups......

And I am still following it up.....dont know if they are indeed looking for some money

i'm facing the same problem but with BSNL BROADBAND and that in noida.its more than 2 months and they keep postponing the date..and nw they say thr is sm infrastructure issue..
if they knew abt this issue then wht did they give the connection on the 1st hand??
we could have applied when this infrastructure issue was solved..
moreover the cheque that i have got encashed vry fast..
i think we indians r cheated like anything in every department,be it phone,cable or broadband??????????
MAY GOD TEACH THESE CULPRITS SOME LESSON !!!AMEN!!

On my side, the good thing is that I received a call from MTNL guy that they wish to install the broadband now...thankfully enough.....

As I understood there was a problem of port availibility with MTNL here in Delhi...hopefully now they will be able to clear to pile of connections....
