Angry MTNL overcharging Mumbai Unlimited plan users

MTNL, Mumbai, is charging Rs 2500 per month for 256 Kpbs unlimied connection in Mumbai.
The same facility, called TriB Unlimited in Delhi, is charged Rs 599 per month.
This indeed is severe discrimination.
Another plan, Trib 1999 in Delhi, gives 512 Kpbs with 25 GB download facility.
India Broadband forum should take this up with Mumbai MTNL on behalf of its forum members, as a collective voice.
This , indeed, is discrimination
MTNL can not be allowed to charge such differential rates in two cities similar in size & opportunity.
Let us organise a signature campaign and take up with the organization.

Even I am looking for unlimited plan from MTNL which will fit in my budget.
Lets take up this issue as BSNL and MTNL Delhi is providing unlimited plan to the users for less than 800 bucks.

I totally agree with you guys...... this is sheer driscrimination....... dont understand why MTNL guys are charging us INR 2500/month for unlimited plan when the same plan they are offering to delhi customers for almost 1/4 of the amt.

We all should write to their big daddys and should bring this fraudulent practices to their attention.......

Possible causes...
- License fees for Mumbai are paid very higher to Government
- Infrastructure cost of Mumbai may be much higher
- Competing companies offer much lower rates in Delhi
- Operations cost is much higher in Mumbai

Understandable causes may be...
- Competition need to grow up (Offering higher rates, customer will switch to competitors)
- Competition is paying up personally, for being behind
- NO worries, Mumbai has much more money than Delhi....collect it....
- NO one to control customer rush, no professional staff available. All Yadav, Pande, Mishra, Tripathi &.....what else be said...

Mumbai Teriff:Trib Unlimited Plan-1 256Kbps Unlimited Rs. 2500/-

Delhi Teriff:TriB UL data-256 Unlimited Rs.599/-

As of today, they have not changed any rates. Still the charges are almost 5 times to delhi users.
