Buy Linksys or Netgear only. Ensure that it is a ADSL2+ modem cum router and not just a wireless router. The price will be Rs. 2500/= or above.

That is D-link probably. D-link is also not bad but not in the same class as Linksys and Netgear. But Rs. 500/- seems to be extraordinarily low price. Are you sure that it is a modem + wireless router?

No. He needs a modem+router. WRT54G is wireless router only.

What he needs is a product such as Linksys Wireless Router+ADSL Modem WAG200G

Exclamation 802.11 n will rock!!

Current wire-less routers/modems support IEEE 802.11 a/b/g... which gives you a maximum speed of 54Mbps... New generation wireless routers/modems are coming to India pretty soon...Or have they come? They are 802.11 n compliant... And they will connect at 300 Mbps... It will be good to stream video, music and gaming on lan or wan(ofcourse, ur broadband speed will be detrimental for fast internet speed) ... I guess the price will be around Rs. 15000 at the time of launch... N most will be backward-compliant to work with devices supporting IEEE 802.11 a/b/g network...
For futuristic users who value performance should wait a little until it becomes available in India...

Once again the same mistake. rockyj123 needs a modem+wi-fi router, and not just a wi-fi router. Netgear WGR614 is a wi-fi router, I believe, i.e., it does not have a built-in ADSL modem.

In this case, I would suggest DG834Gv3

Pretty good for home use.

Yeah!! that ryt!!

But I will still recommend DG834Gv3. For its performance and stable firmware and to top all that it also supports WDS with latest firmware.

yes mate i understand stability of firmware but till now we are really not getting any problems with firmware of version 4 routers.

Do you have any known issue with version 4 routers in your knowledge base.
