    Default Triband online application

Mtnl triband can be applied at your local sanchar hut or haat whatever they call it but the staf I have seen in those huts are lousy and have no sense of urgency in whatever they do and it might take a few hours before you get everything done via that route.

The best way out for applying for Mtnl triband is online application and you can do that on Mtnl Delhi website at customercare.mtnl.net.in

This is only for New Delhi customers and I didint find anything about Mumbai..

I hope this helps new applicants

    Hi,

Now I can also see a link in the Mumbail MTNL site for Registering online.
I used the 'Register TriBand Online' link on the Mumbai MTNL Broadband page (MumbaiSelfcare/Forms/ADSLRegistrationForm). After entering all the data, I clicked on Next and this gave me a page with a 'Digitally Sign' button and a message to install an ActivX component on my computer. When I say Install ActiveX control, I get a dialog with COMMITSignermdc1.cab, with Provider: Unknown Publisher, and IE 7 says that Windows has blocked this software. Clicking on the 'Unknown Publisher' it points to Name:'COMM-IT India Pvt. Ltd.', Email:'sohan.kanojia@gmail.com'. The certificate is valid from 6.27.2006 - 6.27.2007. Any idea on how to enable this ActiveX control so that I can continue with the Registration online.
I know that the other ways to register are by calling 1500 or downloading the form and submitting it to the MTNL customer service center.
But I don't stay in Mumbai and I am doing this for my parent's house in Mumbai and I would like to spare them the hassle of figuring out what to do.
Since this facility is already available online, I am wondering if anyone has used it and if so, how did they get over the 'Digital signature' part.

    Thanks,

    Default try diff browser

you can try a different browser
or in ie try spotting a bar on top which appears as soon as the activex control download starts. click on that bar, and then i think an option to allow it will appear. click on that option and then you will have to reload this page

but instead of all of that i suggest that you quickly go to nearest mtnl qcsc and submit the form there since you should not delay any more days in getting the *connection
don't wait, quickly hurry to the qcsc:w00t::17:
