Well I have heard a lot about the MTNL IPTV service but do not really know what all channels they provide and the services which they actually offer.

And is it worth getting the MTNL IPTV?

AKSH IPTV was installed at my home on 23-06-2008.But it worked hardly for 2 days.Thereafter I lodged complaints to AKSH IPTV & MTNL several times on phone and through email.The customer service provided by AKSH IPTV is very very poor. They do not give complaint numbers which is violation of TRAI guidelines. When you call at call centre they will ask your name and contact number but they do not bother to call back. Every time you have to remind them about the problem you are facing. I think I have called them more than 50 times.This is the poorest customer service I have seen in my entire life.. I sent emails to their head office at Gurgaon but I think they don't have any regards to customers.The reason given to me was problem at Prabhadevi telephone exchange.But I have not received a written comnunication from MTNL/AKSH.I fails to understand when the infrastructure was not ready why they have go ahead with the project. MTNL is not able to fix the problem after so many days . This shows it's efficiency. This is the main reason MTNL is loosing it's market share in Mumbai.
On 04-07-2008 I written email to MTNL's top boss that if the problem is not fixed I will escalate the matter to Department of Telecommunication.Then on 8-7-2008 AKSH's technician came to my home and fixed the problem. But from 09-07-2008 onwards IPTV is not working. Again I called several times at call centre to wake up AKSH. On 12-07-2008 their technician visited my home and assured me that problem will be solved in a couple of days.When I called at call centre today i.e. 17-07-2008 told me that the problem is solved. But IPTV is not functioning yet. As usual I had given my contact details but nobody called me and no technical help is provided.Although I sent several emails ,lodged complaints online and on telephone, I have a not received a single written communication from AKSH / MTNL.AKSH MUMBAI MTNL IPTV IS SUPER FLOP SHOW

Go for Tatasky, and overall clean service provider, will cost you approx 360 monthly with all taxes. Quality and service quite satisfactory can be compared superior in complete range.....
With my overall personal experience, I can rate as:
1. Tatasky
2. DishTV
3. BigTV
4. Local Cable walah

IPTV us not rated as it is NOT YET a service, only a gimmick to squeez money from you, in name of TV viewer. Go for it if you like chatting up and complaining on telephones.......

EVEN THE AKSH MTNL DELHI IS ALSO COMPLETE FLOP SHOW ALONGWITH THEY ARE THE BIGGEST *****. THEY NEVER RESPONSD NOR CARE FOR ANYONE. ITS BEEN MORE THAN 6 MONTHS THAT I GOT THE CONNECTION DISCONNECTED WHEN AKSH PEOPLE ONLY SAID THAT THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO PROVIDE THE SERVICES IN NORTH DELHI, THEN ALSO THEY ARE REGULARLY CHARGING MY BILLS INSPITE OF SEVERAL COMPLAINTS AND THEY ARE NOT EVEN BOTHERED OF ANYTHING. THEY ARE BIGGEST LIERS AND THE POOREST COMPANY. SPOKE TO ALL THE TOP OFFICIALS OF AKSH LIKE LALIT KUMAR WITH THE EMAIL ID lk@akshbroadband.in HE READS ALL THE EMAIL WHICH WE COME TO KNOW THRU READ RECEIPT BUT NEVER BOTHERED TO REPLY BACK. MTNL AKSH IS A BIG FLOP IN INDIA. I DON'T KNOW WHY TRAI AND DOT IS NOT TAKING ACTION AGAINST THEM, BUT NO HELP. IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME OUT OR LET ME KNOW THE WAY, THAT WOULD BE GREAT. I also had mtnl iptv but it is worst show that i ever heared in my hole life.The channel they show came after 20 seconds and they do not have the facility of the progamme guide. They do not given the channels popularly and do not have many channel like disney channel, hungama tv, 9X ,neo sports, etc. When I tell them to provide these channels , they tell me that it will come after 1 month. From 12 months they are giving the same reason and not a single channel has come.When some problem occur and i call them from my mobile , they do not pick up the phone.When i start the mtnl iptv , it comes after 5 minutes. I think that mtnl iptv is the worst show. MTNL IPTV IS SUPERDUPER FLOW.

Hi,

does anyone know the procedure to cancel the iptv?
I decided to get the connection only to realise later that ITS A BIG FLOP!!
No one has turned up at my place to start the connection.
No one even botehred to call and check.Infact before we got the connection,we used to get calls everyday for the same.
I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!

Plz advise.

1800-11-4000 is the number of national consumer cell. They will guide through the procedure. It will take some time but it works for sure. i have tried it myself.

By my experience I can partly agree to you in Delhi as well. They have the worst after installation customer care. I have a more than one monyh pending complaint.
