3G mobile services have taken the mobile services to the next level all over the world. Till now India was nowhere near the wonderfully amazing 3G service. Now the country has taken its first step in the, 3G Mobile arena.

The first step actually is the soft launch of the 3G enabled Mobile services by Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited also known as MTNL. It has introduced the service for its Delhi Network.

MTNL ha snow officially become the first Mobile operator in India that launched the first 3G services. The service was named as “MTNL 3G Jadoo”.

In the initial phase the coverage for 3G services would include the core Delhi like the area of Connaught Place, Sanchar Bhawan, Rajaji Marg, Pragati Maidan, India Gate, Delhi Gate and Minto Road.

The commercial tariff and registration have not been announced as of now, but it the information for the same will be released after the commercial launch which is due after a couple of months’ later.

The MTNL 3G Jadoo Mobile services is designed to enable the MTNL Dolphin/ Trump subscribers to enjoy various services. They include the video telephony service which allows the users to watch and talk simultaneously by providing the Video Call service.

The service will also provide efficient high speed internet service for a smart-phone and Laptop. The speeds it provides ranges between 256 Kbps to 2 Mbps.

The MTNL 3G Jadoo also provides a multitude of data related VAS services that include the services like, Mobile TV and location surveillance. The MTNL 3G Jadoo also provides the users with some streaming video on Demand. Also the MTNL 3G Jadoo provides the facility of online gaming.

Basically The MTNL 3G Jadoo is all set to change the face of mobile telephony by providing the wonderful services.

MTNL will commercially launch its 3G services in the national capital within 10 days. In Mumbai the 3G services would be launched in the first week of February.

Yes. MTNL is planning commercial launch on Republic Day. Possibly through the PM. but they are very tight lipped about the plans. even an insider refused to divulge anything. just gave a cryptic smile and said "wait and watch"

I called up Mtnl customer care and the girl I spoke to said that she doesnt have any information about the launch of 3g on the 26th Jan and said she was told it will be first week of feb

I have been waiting for 3g for soooo long now... Looks like its still not here yet.

After all such hype and high aqquisation cost. Due to the presense of rival technology like Wifi, i doub't 3g would be a success

This is wierd man, a 3G service delayed in this country because some leader is ill. this is not some road or dam building project, so a PM needs to come.

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL) will launch third-generation (3G) mobile services commercially from Today.

Motorola is setting up the core network for MTNL for this launch.

Initially, services will be launched in central Delhi, including Connaught Place, India Gate, Pragati Maidan, Delhi Gate and Minto Road. The services will later be extended to Gurgaon. BSNL is also expected to launch commercial 3G services soon.

Today i got an ad on Hindustan times telling me that they are reducing the cost of international calls to Rs 3...they are to make one more announcemnt tomorrow ...Most proably they are waiting for the PM.

Now we all know normal people rarely use MTNL cellphone in delhi because of the crappy service..... So as soon as 3G enters the market people will immediatly jump on to it. Mostly students living in delhi to get cheap and fast internet access.

Students mostly have 3g enabled cellphones ...they will connect it to their pc's and internet and downloading.

And also video calling will be free for the first few months ,...so all the college sweethearts....will be on ....... phone &*^

Airtel and other pvt players better have some thing up their sleeve and fast.
