Thread: Need Mobile Handset for MTNL Mumbai Garuda

Can anyone suggest what mobile handset to buy from the open market for MTNL Garuda in mumbai? My Nokia has conked out and I def do not want to buy any phones supplied by MTNL. Nokia 6275 is my last choice if I do not find anything else that is good. Nokia 6275 is a really good phone but it costs about Rs. 7,250/- or something like that. I am not prepared to spend that much of money.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Gaduda is CDMA based. any open CDMA set would do. u would get nokia basic set for around 3500. Samsung M309 @ 6300 is also a very good set with all features.
Fly is also having dual (GSM+CDMA) basic sets around 3500-4000.

I couldn't aggree more.. The handsets of Garuda are of bad quality. I was so pissed off low battery and poor connection that i decided to take GSM connection.. I am happy with trump and also, there is unlimited option from MTNL to MTNL... so its better...
