Thread: Unable to use MTS MBlaze with huawei E173 - Chennai

Hi All,

I was trying to use huawei E173 datacard (which i bought with airtel 3g), but was unable to use MTS on the same... I have unlocked the datacard but when i check, there's no signal in the datacard software... Can someone please throw some light here???

MTS is CDMA tech and Huawei data card is GSM/HSPA tech - so it won't work :P

But i see that this is wcdma technology... that way it should work, right??

MTS uses CDMA - EVDO Technology, While E173 is a HSPA Modem ( WCDMA = GSM 3G )

Pls use any 2G or 3G operator, if you are in chennai., i think BSNL is good we can offer you 1Gb free with new bsnl sim @ Rs.110 ( 3G Data )
