    Lightbulb Can MTS ZTE AC2787 data card be unlocked?

    Hi,

    I want to know that can a MTS Blaze data card be unlocked. I have purchased an advance rental plan at Rs 3030 from MTS in Bangalore and now I am planning to go back to Jharkhand. MTS has now closed its services in Jharkhand. So can this data card be unlocked.

    Thanks for answers.

    How exactly can it be unlocked? Using CDMA workshop? But I have tried this. Or you are asking me to visit any mobile shop where data is unlocked? Or it will be unlocked by MTS itself? Please tell me.

    But will Reliance/bsnl/tata provide their service on unlocked mts modem ? I heard they will ask to buy their modem.
    Exchange your mts modem and get reliance netconnect evdo modem/airtel 3g modem.....this offer is applicable only in few circles, check your circle.

    just get a reliance cdma sim from reliance store or any retailer and call the customer care to activate HSD on your number. get your mblaze unlocked and insert the sim card in it and voila you are good to go.

    @Nirmal
    Reliance CDMA doesnt use sim cards. Sim cards are only for GSM networks not for CDMA. You will have to physically take the data card to Reliance shop and get them to activate it for you and it will take a few hours before you can use it. I know because I have used Reliance CDMA based data card in the past.

    i think you haven't used reliance cdma sim wise. reliance cdma based data card are old things. this is new. also it has a plan of rs 94 where you get 1GB 3G internet every month for 6 months that is 6Gb plus all local and national sms @10p for 6 months all in 94 only.

    please tell me the model no of your data card. i will look into it. earlier reliance used to give AC8700 evdo dongle that can be unlocked easily. if you are using that model then i will help you to unlock that datacard. new dongles nowadays comes with a sim slot. MTS 2766 which was earlier known as MTS premium has a built in sim slot.but they stopped that model permanently and brought AC2746 model which doesnt have sim slot. but this model can also be unlocked and sim slot can be added seperately. and now mts brings the huawei models which are even easier to unlock.its better to purchase pre unlocked cdma datacards so to avoid unlocking hassles as everybody is not used to this things. micromax makes unlocked cdma datacards or dongles.Micromax 300C and Micromax 310C.i have both zte AC2766 unlocked as well as Micromax 310C

    whether it has any SIM slot? otherwise no point of unlocking. even of you flash the PRL, Reliance or TATA would not register the MEID.
    In any case Reliance is taking over MTS, so all MTS data cards are expected to be officially supported by Reliance soon.
