If it is in English language, your audience is miniscule out of 1.2Billion (120 crores)of the indian population.
Even assuming that out of 1 or 2 % knowing the English language
( read/write/speak College level )) deduct 1% as not interested in this kind of music belonging to elderly group.
out of Balance 1% ( may be one lakh) persons (young generation in age group 18 to 25 years college going with enough spending power ) will be interested in this music, and later join the "square" society.
With the advent of Indian TV channels, English Language music channels ( like MTV etc ) have lost audience heavily in India.

Plus I had done an audiometry test...and hearing problems on my right year was detected..So I'm listening to piano instrumentals right now.

In addition...In current age of "INDIAN music" is nothing but movie soundtracks.
Nothing else is really happening.

but this enitre forum has no hindi spoken(written) material also considering the fact that majority online surfers and users of the internet use english language open's a sliver of opportunity as of the interest I totally agree there may not be much listeners and many prefer hindi also latest bollywood commercial cannot compete the essence of 70's and 80's music. When music is provided free online there does not arise the question of spending power however it is right only that age group you have mentioned will be inclined to the genre.

Regional channels are the core offerings and will attract pocket areas but will have high levels of these pockets catering to the TRPs of such channels dth too do not provide all regional channels there maybe lack of some channels and a lil bit of here n there.

There are loads of underground Indian Rap artist making tracks in their regional language.

As of channels if you look at broader centralized concept considering this a dth platform I am sure all dth providers have VH1, MTV , Channel V but commercially tracks maybe overrated there still lies a spirit of underground Hip Hop which has high value even on a global scale. Internet provides more scope of reaching out rather than soleley depending onTV channels as a medium but TV has been traditionally and contemprarily proved to be the strongest of all medium.

I understand what implies holistically Bollywood music is the thing in the music industry but there are scope of genre-mix which is already implemented in bollywood tracks.
