MTV, Channel V-Deteriorated!

Hi,


Do you remember how channels like MTV and V used to play melodies in the mid 90's. What happened to these channels now? Now its less music and more bakwas. Not to mention the Roadies show. What are those people, and why are people so obssesed with those bullies?

I remember they used to play the classic tunes, apparently now I think Vh1 (though MTV network) does the better job of the "Music", rather than reality shows. Opinions welcome.

I never watch any of the music channels. All are faltoo in my opinion. I get enough dose during my one hour gym session (7am to 8am). Once I was actually timing the advertisement period. I was doing the 10 min treadmill and 10 min of cycle. The advertisements ran for a solid 16 minutes.

i remember the times i was in Almorah for around 3 months without TV and i learnt how to live without it... i had a shortwave radio and the local station used to play old and 90s melodies, or i would play my own music on a cassette player

Now i see just news, some fights on NDTV and Aajtak ( i basically squat on the filthy politicians..) but rest, i am not very much into TV, i think this is good to be safe from unwanted pressure because of these fully-faltoo tv channels and their bogus programs..

that was a nice time in 90s till 97 i guess
apache indian, baba sehgal, alisha chenoy, indiatimes music albums, various artists.. Channel V was good really much way better than its now..

you are very very right Nevin john i even forgot most of the music of those days.. i never really like film music...
