Default 9 min, 36 sec: Perfect phone call

The perfect phone call lasts for nine minutes and 36 seconds and contains a chatty mix of family news, current affairs, a sprinkling of
personal problems and a dash of the weather, according to experts.

Researchers came up with the best subject matter and timing after analysing likes and dislikes of more than 2000 people about talking on the phone.

According to the experts, in a call lasting nine minutes and 36 seconds, three minutes should be spent catching up with news about family and friends, one minute on personal problems, another minute on work/school, 42 seconds on current affairs and 24 seconds on the weather.

Chatting about the opposite sex should last 24 seconds, 12 seconds should be spent on celebrity gossip, one minute and 42 seconds on laughing, 12 seconds on silence and a minute on other general topics. One in five people also said that they spent most time on the phone to their mother.

What was the maximum duration you have spoken on phone?

If only I used this much time on the phone, I would have saved so much money, but anyway thanks for this Ramesh, will try putting it into action from today, so will save time and money for me!

The most time I have spent on the phone is 7 hours!

I spend a fair amount of time on VOIP ...... Longest duration i guess it must have been 6 hrs

Phone I am notorious for not attending calls  .......

You see the ring of a phone disturbs the tranquil state of my mind [it rings at the most inappropriate times]. So i always keep my phone in silent mode . Hence i dont end up attending lot of the calls

Max time i have spent on the phone was 3 hrs i guess [during school/college days ]
Nowadays not more than 30 mins .

 That makes 3 of us... Apart from all these things... I've a unique way of keepin my cell silent...When I'm at home I never care whether my handset's battery is charged or not... never care if its around my bed or its in the other room too...(Ramesh thats why I wear watch all the time, even if I've a mobile set..)

Longest duration I've talked is 7 hrs (Preeti..R u sure it was not me u talked to for longest hrs) with my friend's girfriend in 12th grade... And that too in knowledge of my friend and my then girlfriend...

Trivia - My cordless got discharged couple of times in that call... I had to use basic phone set while cordless was recharging...

It remember once me and my girlfriend opted for a CUG scheme on Airtel, according to which we can make an unlimited free calls on any choosen no. we both choose each others numbers.
At the end of the month our cumilative billing detais were:

    Charges: 25680
    Discount (CUG): 25120
    Balance :560
Service Tax :100 (apprx don't remember exact figure)

    Bill paid approx: 650-700

Next month Airtel withdrew the CUG scheme
