Unhappy Have we got used to these terror attacks?

Have we got used to these terror attacks?

Koi Mat****c***d button dhabakar yeh faisla nahin karega ki muhje kab marna hai…
(No b****d will decide when I should die by pressing the button (of a bomb)
    - From the movie “A Wednesday (2008)
This was just one of the lines in the conversation between Naseeruddin Shah & Anupam Kher. That conversation in the climax of the movie is not any another filmy dialogue. It’s what each and every common man of this country feels. We have so much anger in us against terrorism. But we are not able to do anything. Because we don’t have time to think about it. Because we have some many personal responsibilities. So we elect leader thinking that they will take care of this country. We all know how good our leaders are.

Another terror attack in Mumbai. Over 80 killed & 900 injured. Nothing new. It’s been long time since we had a terror attack. News channels will be showing this news for a week...High alerts will be issues across the country. Security will be beefed up in the airports & railways stations. The day after the terrorist attack things will be normal & in the news they will show...this is the spirit of mumbai, etc, etc. Nothing can hamper the spirit of the city…. Few days later the police will release the sketch of the suspected terrorist. Then they will do some narco analysis & brain mapping test. Opposition party will use this as an agenda to attack the ruling party. BJP will say the UPA has failed to tackle terror. Then we public, will forget everything. Then another terror attack will take place & again the same thing will happen again.

Have we got used to these terror attacks. Have we started adjusting with it?

The terrorist who were all captured should be hanged/killed in full public view. They shouldn’t be allowed to live. They shouldn’t be shown any mercy. Some people may talk about the human rights all. But human rights don’t apply to these terrorist. If they want they can make use of PETA. These terrorist are not humans, they are animals.

Have we got used to these terror attacks?
Have we started adjusting with it?
What can a common man do to fight against terrorism?

Yes, we are getting used to these terror attacks... Nothing seems to be working.... Government isn't able to provide proper security... Our borders are porous... Nobody can stop infiltration... I think government needs to strengthen security at borders & coastal areas... Its from there the arms & terrorists are coming to India...

A common man will have to learn to be more alert than ever... he should report to police whenever he sees suspicious activities in his neighborhood... We also need to keep our eyes open for an abandoned object... and teach kids about it...

Only when such terror attacks happen we talk of being alert. We will be alert for next few days. Then we forget about it. & about reporting about suspicious activities in his neighborhood...We have become some much busy in our ife that we hardly know who our neighbhours are. We even dont know who is staying next to us. Thats the present situation in the metros..

First of all, our laws should be changed so that atleast the terrorists who are caught are prosecuted properly.

Damn it, our law even allows terrorists to appeal against it. This's the biggest joke of all.

IMHO all the terrorists who are caught must be killed IMMEDIATELY. this will send message that we do take them seriously.

And sort of diplomacy/friendship with pakistan is only an oppertunity for them to stab at our back. We should refrain from that.

I dont see any change in the laws/leaders/etc unless any top Neta/leader is killed. The govt/leaders are not bothered about the common man. They will just issue statements in TV & in newspapers...thats it. They will issue some compensations for the people killed...I dont even know whether those compensations are give or its just for fooling the people...

National Security Guard (NSG) was formed in 1985 to counter terrorism.
Their additional role is to provide security to the top politicians.

Cant these politicians make their own arrangements for their security. They have enought money.

NSG should not provide security to these poloticians. NSG must be used only to protect the country.

Jasmine Kaur (22) from Mohali was in Mumbai on a five-month training course at Trident hotel. She took two bullet hits from terrorists on her arm and near the ear. She died on the way to the hospital. What was her fault. She is one of the many innocent people who died & they did not deserve to die in this way.
