Sukhoi is one of the best aircraft and with the joint collaboration of Israel[the best airforce in the world] and India, our airforce will now have some serious addons. Also the indo-russian joint venture will help india immensely, not to forget the BRAHMOS missile [Fastest missile in the world]
According to a US official after Indian Pilots outsmarted US pilots at a wargame excercise in 2005...
"Remember that the Indians have two hostile nations on their border, both with credible air forces. Indian pilots actually fly almost twice as many hours a month as ours and much of it is under operational conditions. Even though equipped with Russian-designed aircraft, they ain't the Russians (notorious for being undertrained)."
sukoi's are latest...but there is no proper maintainance..
