The government on Sunday announced three members on Satyam board. They are HDFC Chairman, Deepak Parekh; former Nasscom president, Kiran Karnik; and former presiding officer of the Securities Appellate Tribunal, C Achuthan.

Making the announcement, Minister of Corporate Affairs PC Gupta said, the government agencies have began probe into the Satyam fraud in a coordinated way and have made “commendable progress”.

The new board will meet within 24 hours, the minister said. Earlier, the government had disbanded the Satyam’s board and said that it would announce up to 10 nominee directors on Satyam’s board.
