i think, most influential language in my life is not even bengali...

how so we speak it in home...but i think in hindi , and so its the language that matters to me...even now i have to think in hindi and than convert that to english...

english is not my language....

i am a marwari from kolkata ... marwari language is very different from hindi .. the words sound similar ... but its a complete language in itself...

i speak equally good hindi and bengali ... most of my friends are bengali and they always say - that we havent seen any non-bengali speak such fluent bengali ever ... no stranger with whom i speak in bengali ever realizes that i am a non-bengali ...

vikramjb is on a distinguished road
Wink

Same goes for my wife. She spent 5 years in bangalore and speaks kannada better than any kannadiga can and her mother tongue is Telugu which is not very comfortable with. She is comfortable speaking in Malyalam (my mother toungue) rather than telugu. It's not that she doesn't like that language, nobody even in her house speak Telugu so she doesn't

yes usually it is soo tht wht u speak at home , locally & at work ....a person gets used to tht one.......like if u r a marathi & speak marathi even in blore than u still kno the language n converse but if the family doesnt speak marathi than obviously how will u kno......so it all depends wht u language u speak normally....
