I too watchrd the inaugural ceremony and was surprised that Obama was not standing inside a bullet proof enclosure. Very different from our leaders I shd say!! May be his Muslim middle name gives him immunity against terrorists!!

From what I had read in TOI, he was wearing some sort of special bullet proof suit.

Atleast he could have faith in his bullet proof suit that it would protect him. Here , we can't be sure of that as well considering what happened to ATS chief in Mumbai

it's true he was wearing a bullet proof suit, and i'm sure the glass rail in front of him at the Washington Mall site is also bullet proof...still risky though!

im surprised no one has mentioned the following fact:

also as a good luck charm, Obama carries a mini statue of Ganesh-ji in his pocket!

i am not a fan of Obama, indeed i was shocked when he won.. (Because his name resembles Osama )

moreover, till now he hasnt stormed Pakistan as he shouted aloud before elections, indeed is a pussy cat sleeping somewhere in the White house sheepishly like some statuestic president(Like the one's made in India)
