Thread: Congress gets "JAI HO" copyright for polls

Seeing new promise in the runaway success of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, Congress has acquired the exclusive rights of the film's number,
‘Jai Ho’ for the summer campaign.

According to sources, the party has secured the rights of both the lyrics and tune of the hit number for use in its campaign for the general election.

Sensing interest shown by its rivals in the film's title song, Congress moved fast to clinch the deal.

The Oscar won by music director A R Rahman and lyricist Gulzar for the song gave ‘Jai Ho’ unprecedented popularity. What perhaps made the Congress managers curious about the number was its ability to break the language barrier. "It appeals to everybody irrespective of the region and language group," remarked a party functionary.

Well i was switching channels and saw this, BJP also want this song for polls but congress get this deal.. On this situation gulzaar (The lyricist) is not happy, according to him "He did not want his work to be used by politician"

Also BJP Leader "Narendra Modi" said in rally that..

The “real credit” for Slumdog Millionaire’s Oscar glory should go to the Congress. But for that party’s rule for several decades, there would not have been any slum to be made a movie.
Because of slums, we have a movie on it and as a result, we have awards. So the credit for the Oscars goes to the Congress. It is a result of the misdeeds of the Congress and it is a Congress miracle.

When will the government begin to work like a government should, Politicians spent most of their and energy and time convincing why people should vote for them.

yes i know this because on first place my friend was making lyrics of this song for election camp, she worked on these lyrics while sitting in barista and just because of this song we got late for food :sad:

In real terms i really hate these political parties and don't understand why they are taking support of advertising and event management firms. This time BJP and Congress both are outsourcing there election party promotion work to event management firms.

When politician comes up with actor (Popular or non-popular) it inreases their chances..So why not award winning song
