Thread: Progress in Communication in Last 5 Years

We all know in this last UPA govt.(14th Lokshabha 2004-2009) time broadband has launch in India probably BSNL BB from January 2005 others private company like Sify,Airtel also launch broadband at the same time.
Now what's your opinion ? How much Indian broadband service developed in last 4-5 years ? Do you satisfy in the work of IT & communication ministry ?
Please rate in the base of few point like

• Spreading broadband in rural & urban area

• Service quality (bandwidth related for BB)

• cost (tariff related)

Same thing is applicable for mobile,IPTV also and others.Also add your valuable opinion.

Broadband is surely a revolution, and it has reached villages too.

A good thing to do. But they pulled Dayanidhi Maran for some stupid family issue. Now Karunanidhi's eldest son (Karunanidhi has 2-3 wives) Azhagiri is contesting from Madhura (with the kind of reputation he has, he is sure to win). Wait till he becomes next telecommunication minister. Only thing he know is burning, slitting ........

Since India and China are the future, we should have serious plans for communication sector and i couldn't find any. Soon it will be like power sector.
We will suffocate of Demand - Availabilty ratio.

But if UPA comes into Govt again then.

I also think last 5 year development of broadband in IT section is good.Lots of rural area has connected by BB tariff also get reduced, bandwidth increased by BSNL so it's good development.

At the present rate, that seems certain, there may be some change in the constituent parties, though.

Yes. The last 5 years has really seen a change in the internet and telephony scene. However, the change started during the NDA rule only and has continued during the UPA rule.

ITs the coming of the Pvt. players and the threat of the NDA govt. to disinvest the BSNL that really kicked the BSNL fellows into action.
