Thread: About Fake Tantrics and Babas in india !

Hi,

I came across this very interesting (albeit controversial) blog . This blog by a Indian Rationalist association member chronicles their thoughts and activities .I dont know what conclusion to draw from their activities and views .

What do you think about this ?

My views

1) Curing cancer / HIV... i dont think that is yet possible,

2) Pranayama : Yes that certainly cures the disease like asthama and other respiratory problems, even if it cant cure 100% it will surely restrict the diseases to 30-40% its not just a yoga or something of that kind... Its an Exercise for lungs thats all by doing which your lungs build up the resistance power ....

3) I have been to his hospital in haridwar & have see the way they treat there.... its purely legal . what they do is correct. I cant say the treatment for everything is correct ( becuase i too dont know all things in ayurveda ) but in what i know i saw and was very pleased to see that they are using it properly to treat them.... their fee level is just next to nothing...

My experience :

when i was there he was treating an eye problem patient, who's spectacles number was 13+ yes it is 13+ and they told him some exercises and gave him some medicine for 1 month after which he was supposed to come and recheck and see if it has worked... and they charged him 25 rs ... thats all.. just in 25 rs forget about consultation just i dont think 1 months medicine will come... thats a good thing i saw there

Conclusion : I cant entirely say he is good and will do everything correct as i dont know him entirely, but in what i know he is good thats all..

I don't even feel like to talk about these baba's who are sitting there to earn and to show there hairy chest on TV

i loved a guy called 'blade baba'...man was he a character...he used to were those cool shades and his treatment:47: he used to make the patients lie down flat and then hit them hard on their stomach with an iron chair...kind of you see in w.w.e

howz that for a treatment???..stomach ache anyone?

was he removing stomach ache or stomach it self...? :w00t:

9 out of 10 of these babas are fake... But there are some knowledgebale guys out there...

yes thats correct .. 9 out of 10 are fake....

I would bump that upto 9.9/10 ;-)


actually the split would be

5/10 - outright fakes who know they are fakes and cheat others
4.5/10 - they beleive in their power, though it doesn't work, sincere guys
0.5/10 - real deal, have power, don't cheat others.

Did you see the post about one of these rationalists challenging "India's greatest Black magician" on TV ??.... The black magician reportedly challenged the rationalist that he would kill him using black magic ....it was enacted on TV..... It was shown on some channel (CNN-IBN ?) .... pretty amusing read

so what happened? did the black magician kill the other guy?

Lol The closest he came was when in the name of ceremony he almost stabbed him with a knife :lol: which he was using for cutting stuff(a human image fashioned out of chapati dough,pepper and what not and throwing into his sacred fire)......

Very very well said. For example, I have read teachings of Sai baba of Shirdi. He NEVER claimed to be a god or even a saint. He said he was a "guru" or a "teacher" who taught people the right way. I find it strange that there are many godmen today who call themselves "bhagwan".
