  • Eligible voters: 714 million voters
  • Polling centres: 828,804
  • Voting days: 16, 23, 30 April; 7, 13 May
  • Vote counting: 16 May
Record number of Tainted MP's
  • The 15th Lok Sabha saw the most MPs with criminal backgrounds.
  • At least 150 MPs have criminal cases against them with 73 serious cases ranging from Rape to murder.
  • While BJP has 42 MPs with criminal backgrounds, Congress has 41, with largest criminal MPs coming from UP. Out of 80 seats, 31 have criminal records.
  • The previous Lok Sabha had 128 MPs with criminal cases.
Overall Poliing Percentage (543 Constituencies): 56.97%
