The world has seen an unprecedented food crisis impacting almost all the countries. What do you think are the reasons for such a severe crisis globally and is it possible to stop such recurrence?

I may be mistaken but I haven't heard of any food crisis. Yes. Some countries are struck but definitely not across all the world.

We are still an economy that depends on agriculture. Slowly moving towards industrialization.

Food-Crisis in today's terms is a word made by CNN.

The CEB also decided to establish, under the leadership of the Secretary-General, a Task Force on the Global Food Crisis to create a prioritized plan of action and coordinate its implementation. The Task Force held its first meeting on 12 May 2008.

the business world does not foresee any food crisis in the near future.
The Wheat Futures rate in the Chicago Board of Trade has sliped from 674.50 cent/bushel on 1st June 2009 to 500.25 cents/bushel today.
The Indian Govt. is sitting on the highest foodgrain stocks in the last 10 years. So no such crisis is perceived in India also.

I am sure there is a lot of food in stock, but lot of people cannot
afford the food and go hungry. that is the real meaning of food
shortage.
