Thread: Parts of Arunachal shown in Mandarin by google sattelite map

Google sattelite map is showing some areas of Arunachal Pradesh in Mandarin instead of Hindi or english,making them appear as part of China which lead to a huge controversy. Just few hours before the crucial sino-indian talks of the border dispute, the changes were noticed on thursday.

Apart from major places like Itanagar,Tawang most of the parts of arunachal are marked in chinese. Even the southern boundary with Assam and northern boundary with China are shown in broken lines,while the boundary lines of the state with Bhutan and Myanmar are shown in white line.

Its also suspected that Chinese troublemakers might have hacked google and changed the names. Google authorities could not be contacted when the report was filed. the images have shocked Delhi and Arunachal.

‘‘This is shocking. How could Google change the names of places of a sovereign country without the country’s knowledge?’’ fumed Congress’s West Arunachal MP Takam Sanjoy.

Former BJP MP from Arunachal, Kiren Rijiju firmly states its a gameplan by China. Sanjoy has informed AICC general secretary in charge of Arunachal, Narayan Swami and urged him to take asction against Google.

‘‘The government should come out openly with its stand and take Google to task. Google must explain under what authority did they include Chinese language in Arunachal Pradesh’s map,’’ the MP said.

We should openly support the Tibetan and Uigher freedom movements.

Well I hope now govt of india realizes what its ignorance or aloofness towards north east or her eits arunachal pradesh might cost it. in north east arunachal is the only state where there is no terrorist group. facing all the problems which u people cant imagine of still no youth takes a gun to rebel against indian govt. arunachal never asked to get separated from india but we are always neglected.

I donno how many states in india really celebrate independence day but in arunachal every person goes and watches flag hoisting celebrates republic day or independence day. i have been in bangalore i have been in delhi i have been in various part of assam well in assam people cant come out on these days cos of ulfa threats even in delhi there's high security alerts and bangalore well nobody cares here. but there hadnt been a single independence day or republic day in my life till class 10th when i saw a bandh or people boycotting these days or not celebrating 'em.

I try to avoid buying things that are "Made in China"

We will fall in hands of foreigners piece by piece. Cause we are not united. We are selfish citizens with a weak govt who never think of what future problems we are going to suffer. & sad thing is our Navy Chief saying we can't take on China who wants to break India into 30 parts online of ethnical & linguistics. We should learn to stand on our feet 7 stop using foreign aids in military. What is the achievement of DRDO apart from some missiles. All other weopons are exported. No submarines developed. In computers no defense team developed to counter their crackers.
