There is this contraversy going on in the political circle these days about Sashi Tharoor refering to economy class as cattle class... Well those people saying he should resign and what not are just doing it to gain political mileage.

I have travelled in firstclass as well as business class but when I had to pay for my ticket I have always resorted to economy class and to be honest I have myself always called economy class as cattle class and if you know anyone from travel industry then ask them what they call it... every one calls it cattle class and there is nothing wrong in saying that ... Its sooo true .. have you seen how cramped the seats are? you cant even streach your legs leave alone having a comfortable flight and you never get enough elbow room.. When ever I am in economy class ( which is pretty often) I normally spend the whole flight fighting for elbow room and I hate having to sit soo close to other people but I cannot afford to buy a first class ticket out of my pocket

Airlines should do something about it and make some universal changes and make economy class a bit more roomey and comfortable and no one will call it cattle class every again.

Well Mr Sashi Tharoor if you are reading this... I would like to tell you that I am with you on whatever you said and would love to have some sort of law imposed on airlines to provide sufficient room in economy class.

Mr. Sashi Tharoor is absolutely right. Call a spade a spade.

Mr. Tharoor should be congratulated in fact. Because he is point out that airlines are treating people from economy class as cattle.

It is the " holy cow " usage that caused problems. People made it think that he meant Rahul and Sonia. It is amazing what people can make out of small things.

I think he should have replied to reporter as 'Yes, I am going in a cattle class. He should not have included holy cows.' It caused quite a controversy. It does refer to Delhi High command. Though I like that holy cow remark. & agree with him.

i think politicians are only having problem with his comments, people are not bothered about it, and media is ready to make anything a big news.

Politicians should concentrate in their work rather that wasting time on all this.

Issues are made to completely sway away.......stupid fight over the words "cattle class"

Very well said all of you. Instead of raising the real issue these politicians take pride in picking the least important thing and making an issue out of it.

If we consider the total cost of security cover provided for the much hyped Shatabdi travel of the Congress GS, it would have cost more than what the cost is when he travels by air.

The whole issue seems to be because of the fact that the "holy cows" do not want to be called "holy cows" on their face.

The comment could be true. Many may not deny. Well, He can travel in cattle class. The options are A) Holy Cow B) unclean pig C) sinful Snake. Generalisation is enough. Don't be specific.
