    Default Touch Screens lying in-operative

Delhi Secretariat has installed touch screen computers at the reception to give information to the Visitors about the Government. But these machines are lying in dust for the past two years. They are not functional anymore and the visitors have to wait in long queues to get the information from the officials at the reception. Lots of funds are utilized for the installation of these machines but without proper maintenance and care they lie as waste in one corner. The officials say that the information in the computers is not updates so they are not being used, but then who is going to update the systems? If the government has started something it should maintain the same for use.

Advanced technology will require high maintainence cost so before installing such machines provision should be made for the same.
