The computers help the surgeons in maintaining accurate alignment and once the alignment is done the implantation in the bone is done. The longetivity of the joint is only there if the alignment is accurate. Many surgeons are using this tool to get perfection in their results. The cost of a normal knee replacement surgery is between 1.5 to 2 lakhs for single knee. The cost is more by about 5-10% if the surgeon is aided by computer while doing the surgery.
