Thread: Haiti earthquake : One lakh feared dead

Port of Prince : An earth quake of magnitude 7.3 ripped through the Caribbean country Haiti. Over one lakh are feared dead. This is one of the greatest casualty after 1870 earth quake. It seems god is angry with all. He is trying to relieve earth of burden. But this philosophy won't work with those who became homeless over night, lost their loved ones, injured and handicapped due to the disaster.

The earth quake demolished many buildings including the presidential palace. As per the Haiti Ambassador in Mexico both President and his wife are safe. A lot of buildings collapsed including the head quarters of UN peace keeping force.

There were 27 quake waves during the whole period. The epicenter is believed to be 16 KM from Port of Prince the capital of Haiti. UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon appealed
nations to help Haiti.
