Thread: The sweet murderer

It is hard to find anybody who had not tasted the Haldiram brand of sweets and chats. Now the news has come that the owner of Haldiram is accused of conspiracy to murder. Kolkata sessions court along with five others convicted Prabhu Shankar Agarwal for consipiracy ot the murder of a tea stall owner. On Friday the court will announce the sentence of Prabhu Shankar Agarwal and four others. Prabhu Shankar Agarwal who was in court was arrested by the police and sent to Alipore central jail. He was accused of giving supari to kill Satyanarayan Thakur who runs a shop in Burrabazar. But this is where the things went wrong. The killers were lead Gopal Tiwary who is a criminal and extortionist shot Pramod Sharma. Promod Sharma is the 18 year old newphew of Satyanarayan Thakur.The whole issue arose when Prabhu Shankar Agarwal wanted to clear Thakur’s 50 year old tea shop which blocked the entrance to his Haldiram restaurant. Killers shot Promod Sharma at 4 am when he was opening the tea shop. Fortunately they missed and he was rushed to hospital with a bullet lodged in his leg. He still runs the shop with his uncle.
