Thread: Turn off your lights from 8:30-9:30 PM and save Earth

World over people have been slowly realizing the seriousness and enormity of the problem of global warming. One of the campaigns that has been growing in size and reach has been the Earth Hour campaign. Join hands with the global community for Earth Hour 2009 and turn off your lights from 8.30 pm to 9:30 pm tonight. Almost all websites like Google are showing this message on their Home page too.

Turning off lights for an hour is not going to stop global warming but it will act as a token of support for the campaign and as a message to our political leaders that we do care about global warming and that we want our future generations to inherit the earth in the same condition we inherited it from our forefathers.

Earth Hour 2010

Yes Yes I read in todays newspaper.
I am surely going to save electricity and decrease carbon emissions.
I read that this is 4th such hour.
I wonder when did the previous 3 come and I was not aware of it.

In real attempt to save electricity daily measures should be followed rather than mere obligation once in a while.

there is no need for this in bangalore as power is switched off for 4-6 hours everyday by the electricity board. :P it is Earth Hours campaign here ..enforced by the govt.
