Punjab Police Patrolling at Night

Punjab police will dedicate a 4000 strong force to guard Punjab during the night. Be it a dhaba, a call centre, toll plaza's or the highway, Punjab police will be on the guard on the Night Policiing Scheme (NPS) with its own unique command and structure. The main aim of this will be to protect the citizens and give a sense of security to the citizens of Punjab.
The force was lunached on Sunday by Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal. The NPS will cover entry and exit points, sensitive institutions in all of the cities of Punjab and major towns in the state.

The iniative will be to make the environment safe adnd secure for the people who work during the night which includes doctors, nurses, call centre employees, toll barrier employees people, working at restuarants and other night staff. It will also keep a tab on thefts, burglarieis, drink driving and other crimes.

This is a very good step put ahead by the Punjab Government and it should be put into place by the Delhi government too, because places like Delhi are at high risk of crimes.

Every city should have this kind of patrolling, at least people would feel safe at night.
