Default EC Considering Removing Internet Explorer From Windows

In a preliminary ruling, the European Commission told Microsoft that linking Internet Explorer to its dominant Windows operating system violates EC rules. The EC's ruling was triggered by a complaint from IE rival Opera. Microsoft could seek to offer a Windows version without IE, as it did in the EC's 2004 ruling on Windows Media Player."
Seems that, if this is implemented.
This is would a end of IE in Europe and it cult status won't exist anymore.

    Firefox and others would rule!

    Chrome???
I don't think chrome has an edge for it, with FF and Opera leading the new generation.

Bill Gates would fight tooth & nail against the order.
Any body who has used FF3 with its wide range of add-ons know that its the only browser that can be fully customised to suit ur exact requirements. And once u r used to that u become lazy and find using Crome or IE too much of an activity.
Till such time Crome comes up similar facilities, no full time FF user would shift to it.

certainly that would be the end of ie's leading share. But it's not that easy to happen.
