Default Gmail rapidly catching up with Hotmail

Gmail users have reasons to rejoice because the service is said to be on track with the sole intention of displacing Hotmail. A rise in the userbase of Gmail suggests that within this year end Gmail can easily topple the current number two provider Hotmail with ease. The grass is not greener on the other side with Hotmail reporting 4% drop in the user base. Yahoo is the current flavor of the masses and they have reported a 11% growth rate. Functionality are being added to Gmail on regular basis and this is one of the reasons for the rapid rise of Gmail.

possibly the USP of Gmail is the method of compacting all related mails togather. Its really much easier than doing to inbox and sent box so many times.
the addition of other fuctionalities is also a benefit.
many also use Gmail as a internet storage space by using the GSpace Add-On of Firefox.

even i prefer yahoomail over gmail. all other services of google are almost on top like the search engine... yahoo search engine has almost become non-existent which used to be the major search engine. gmail attracts more amount of spam than any other mail service ...
