Default 50 million Blackberry devices already sold

Research In Motion the well known developer of Blackberry range of products have formally announced that precisely 50 million Blackberrys have been sold worldwide since its launch. The device was initially launched in 1999 and within a span of 10 years they were able to attain such heights. The blackberry received much highlight when US President Barack Obama had refused to part with his Blackberry even when security reasons were cited. the Blackberry is a very over-rated service.
its mainly used by those whose bill is paid by their company.

it is mostly used for professional purposes indeed. many companies inlcuding some it companies provide its employees with blackberry for mainly the purpose of 24 hour support to the client. not very useful to general public ... but definitely serves the purpose of a certain class.
