Default Computer virus 'grounds French fighter planes'

French military had a recent shuffle with computer viruses. The pilots could not download the flight plan details from the base station because of an infected virus in their systems. Mainly the flight databases were the ones which were mostly infected. According to french newspaper Liberation the planes were literally "nailed to the ground" on the 15 and 16th of Jan 2009. Tt is learnt that the much dreaded conficker worm had infected the PCs and in spite of a repeated warnings from Microsoft, the French failed to take necessary precautions.
