Lightbulb World's first search engine with absolute privacy

Ixquick ( Ixquick Metasearch ), is a meta-search engine established in 1998. It uses the search results of different popular search engines to provide its own set of results which are most relevant. This search engine supports 17 languages.

Ixquick is developed by a Dutch Company which recently upgraded it as the world’s first search engine that provides complete privacy to users. The tag line of this search engine is “world’s most private search engine”.

Most (if not all) search engines stores the IP addresses of each user and return them a cookie in order to track search behaviours.

"Ixquick is the first search engine that does not even store IP addresses temporarily," said Ixquick CEO Robert Beens.

This technology will prevent the threats from search robots by differentiating them from normal users. Search robots perform automated searches to acquire privacy details.

Do u know that they introduced this system of deleting user details after 48 hours only by June 27 2006? It is given in the wikipedia page. It has been in existence since 2004.
