Nokia claims to have sold 5 million + N-Series mobile phones
The world’s largest handset maker Nokia has said that they have sold more than 5 million units of their recently launched N-Series range of mobile phones around the world.
The company also launched three new models on Tuesday as they aim to expand in the luxury phone market. Anssi Vanjoki, the head of Nokia’s multimedia unit added that they are expecting the multimedia phone market to grow to 100 million units in 2006.
Nokia further believes that the market would grow to as many as 250 million units in the next 2 years. This gives them a huge potential to tap this segment of the market with these new N-Series phones.
Nokia N93: This new model from Nokia is a video camera model, which comes with optical zoom.
Nokia N73: This phone from the company comes with a 3 megapixel Carl Zeiss lens.
Nokia N72: This is primarily a music capable phone and is expected to be available in the retail market by this coming June.
